TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION OF DOME
Prefabricated Structures can be made out of fiberglass, cement, metal, plastic, etc. Of these, Fiberglass Structures are a specialized and highly technical process. The composition for manufacturing Fiberglass Dome Structure contains fiberglass, unsaturated chemicals (Gel Coat, Resin, MEKP) and high-density Polyurethane foam as insulation by SPRAY-UP Technology. For the advantage of SPRAY-UP Technology, please refer Annexure-A.
Manufacturing of Fiberglass Dome Structure involves costly raw material, chemicals and skilled labourers.
Raw Materials

Process
Mould Preparation: At this stage Acetone is used to clean the mould surface thoroughly.
Gel Coat:On the thoroughly cleaned mould surface, Gel Coat will be sprayed at 0.5 mm thick.
First Chop:Upon curing the Gel Coat, the mould will be shifted for first chop of Fiberglass mixed with MEKP and Resin. At this stage the Fiberglass will be sprayed at 3 mm thick.
Insulation:Polyurethane Sheet of 20 mm thick will be laid on first chop as insulation.
Second Chop:As in process first chop, 2mm thick Fiberglass will be sprayed on the insulation to make a total thickness of the panel to 25 mm.
Once all the above process is completed, the mould will be taken for pulling and then drilling, grinding, etc. will be done.

Type of insulation is P.U. Sheet (Polyurethane)
On each panel 24 holes are provided at a uniform distance to avoid any mismatch while erection.
Flange area thickness will be 4 – 5mm.
Size of Door opening 37”x82” and Window opening 37”x52”.

Basement details: A concrete plinth of 2’ wider than the Dome Structure periphery should be made available. The height above ground level depends on the customer’s requirement. Before digging foundation, the buyer should consult with the supplier to avoid any confusion.

All the joints are connected with nuts/bolts of 5/16”size and 2” long as well as anchor bolts of 3/8” size and 3” long and silicon sealants. The seams are covered with HDPE Pipe of 2” dia and the outside joints are filled with GE make Silicon Sealant. Doors and Windows are fitted with bolts and nuts.

Internal partitions are not our scope as we are manufacturing only the Dome Structure. The client can do internal partition as per their requirement.

The height of the Dome will be 10.3” (from central).

For relocatable Dome, folding tile flooring is ideal. Otherwise, permanent flooring with tiles is advisable.

The outside colour of our Dome is ‘Ivory’, which is permanent and no colouring is required. Internal colouring can be done with Synthetic Paint of standard manufacturers.

Electrical, plumbing, etc. can be done as per conventional system.
